SAITO Olivier, code name Divider, is a Jet Eye affiliated with the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare’s Specialized Forces Division (SFD). He has the power to cut through anything as long as he has a blade.
Background[]
Shortly after the formation of the SFD, Olivier and his sister Claire Saito were invited to join the newly formed organization. However, Olivier was reluctant to join, afraid of putting his younger sister in danger. Nevertheless, Claire insisted, and finally succeeded in convincing him. On October 3, the two joined the SFD together. Olivier was assigned the code name “Divider” for his ability to cut, while Claire was assigned the code name “Stargazer” for her clairvoyance. [1]
However, a mere two weeks later, Claire was captured by the Ruby Eyes. Olivier, Yumiko, and DD were assigned a mission to subdue a Ruby Eye named “Grasper”. Perhaps seeing the future, Claire insisted on coming with them. After much struggle, they finally surrendered, allowing Claire to come with them on the condition that she was not to leave the car no matter what.[2]
The subduction mission was going rather well, with Olivier keeping Grasper at bay with his sword while Yumiko knocked him out with a taser. However, at that moment, two new Ruby Eyes appeared. The first one burst a system of underground water pipes, soaking Yumiko and Olivier in water. Following up, the second one, Transer, froze the water covering the two, rendering them immobile with a shell of solid ice. Claire then ran out of the car, rushing into the park where the battle was taking place. However, in that instant, a huge explosion erupted out of the ground, blowing Olivier, Yumiko, and DD away, with Transer being caught in the blast as well. With the clouds of smoke hanging in the air, the three weren’t able to see a thing. By the time the smoke had cleared and they were freed from the ice, however, Transer, the other Ruby Eye, and Claire had all disappeared.[3]
Appearance[]
Olivier is described as being very handsome, with longish wavy brown hair (appears with a tint of orange in illustrations) and sharp facial features. He is usually seen wearing blue plastic-framed glasses and a black blazer similar to Yumiko’s — the uniform of the SFD-affiliated Kousai Metropolitan high school.
Personality[]
Olivier usually has a very laid-back attitude, and is described as being very “cool”. He also has an interest in old-school RPGs. Harboring a philosophy that it was unfair to the game’s antagonist that only the protagonist could “save and load”, Olivier quits any game he plays after dying once.
Despite his usually laid-back personality, however, Olivier takes the mission of subduing Ruby Eyes and protecting civilians very seriously. In fact, when Minoru subconsciously held on to the belief that civilian deaths caused by Ruby Eyes had nothing to do with himself shortly after botching the chase after Igniter, Olivier went as far as to punch him in the face to make him aware of his flawed attitude.
Olivier harbors a special grudge against Transer, as he was one of the main actors of his younger sister Claire’s abduction.
Third Eye[]
Abilities[]
Olivier has the ability to break down intermolecular forces between the atoms within an object along a certain plane. In other words, as long as he has a blade, Olivier has the power to cut through anything without resistance regardless of the object’s hardness, earning him the code name of “Divider”.[4]
Although he theoretically possesses the highest pure attack power within the SFD, Olivier has neither range nor a means of protecting himself. As a result, he often facetanks damage, usually being put out of commission before being able to reach his target.
Detection Radius[]
Olivier has a fairly large detection radius of approximately twenty-five meters, meaning that any Ruby Eyes within twenty-fiive meters would be able to detect his ability.[5]

Olivier, as a Jet Eye, is part of the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare’s Specialized Forces Division (SFD). He is one of the organization’s oldest members, joining shortly after its formation.
