Transer is a Ruby Eye formerly affiliated with the Syndicate. He has the power to control the phase transitions of water.
Background[]
From an early age, Transer was neglected by his mother, who spent no efforts in caring for him. As a result, he sympathized with and became close friends with a girl named OO, who was also a victim of parental abuse.[1]
One day six years ago, Transer found a key on the side of the road with a plastic tag marking it as for the nearby cold-storage warehouse. Curious, Transer and OO decided to sneak inside. Standing in the F2 cold-storage room, the icy negative thirty-degree environment felt like a whole different world, and they could only stay inside for a few minutes before running back outside.[2]
In the same year, they visited the warehouse once again, but this time with a different intent. The abuse suffered by the two was starting to become more than they could handle. As such, they turned to a dangerous method of escape: cryonics. Also known as “cold sleep”, cryonics was the storing of a human body in extremely low temperatures so that they could be awoken later in the future. Transer and OO sought to do exactly that: they wished to freeze themselves, believing that they would wake up someday in the far future in a society where child abuse didn’t exist. So this time, in the F2 negative thirty degrees cold storage room, they planned to stay for good.[3]
The unconscious Transer was found by the warehouse staff shortly afterwards. However, OO was never found, and her body remained locked within the F2 cold-storage room. Even though he learned later that a human body would perish when frozen, Transer — unwilling to accept the truth — wished to believe that OO was merely sleeping within the warehouse and would someday wake up in an idealistic future.[4]
Six years later in the September of 2019, Transer was parasitized by a Ruby Eye, granting him the power to control the phase transitions of water. With a quick burst of breath, Transer could freely turn steam into water, water into ice, and vice versa.
However, in exchange for the power, the Ruby Eye demanded murder. Transer was initially reluctant to do so — his first kill had been done in self-defense when two shady men had approached him demanding money.[5] A mere two days later, he was approached by Liquidizer with an offer to join the Syndicate. Transer accepted and began training under Liquidizer as her apprentice. A few weeks later on October 5, Transer participated in his first Syndicate mission, in which he helped capture Claire Saito — and also where he first met his bitter enemy, Olivier Saito.[6]
Appearance[]
Transer has a rather thin build, with medium-length dark hair hanging down in spiky bangs.
Personality[]
Transer has an abrasive outward personality, using various taunts and insults during his battles with Jet Eyes. He holds distrust even towards his allies, shown notably through his interactions with Liquidizer, in which he often contemplates whether he could defeat her in the case of a conflict between them.
Under his aggressive exterior, however, Transer holds deep trauma, the source of which lay in the incident six years ago where his friend OO froze to death in the nearby F2 cold-storage room. Even though he knew deep down that his friend had died the moment her body froze over, Transer continues to use his power to regularly maintain her icy cage in the vain hope that she would someday wake up, believing that the moment he accepted her death would be the moment that he would lose himself.
Third Eye[]
Abilities[]
Transer has the ability to control the phase transitions of water. By varying the way he exhales, he can turn water into ice, water into steam, ice into water, etc.
Transer is very experienced in his ability and has utilized it in the following ways:
- When his opponent is doused in water, he can encase them in an immobilizing shell of ice
- In conditions of abundant rain, he can freeze incoming bullets, increasing their mass and dramatically slowing their speed, thus rendering them harmless
- Severe wounds can be frozen to stop bleeding
- When the need arises, he can convert water into high-temperature steam which injures his opponents while also creating a sort of smokescreen
- As his most advanced technique, Transer can create ice grenades by encasing water within a hollow shell of ice. He can then turn the trapped water into rapidly expanding steam, causing the shell of ice to explode, sending sharp bits of ice shrapnel in all directions
Transer’s potential is greatly amplified during rainy weather.
Detection Radius[]
Transer’s detection radius has never been explicitly stated, but it should be relatively large as his water-transition powers have a large degree of atomic manipulation.
Affiliation[]
Transer was formerly a member of the Syndicate. However, after being attacked by Stinger, captured by the SFD, and subsequently rescued, he has been guarded by and “on the run” with Liquidizer, who had left the Syndicate.

Trivia[]
- Transer had formerly rejected the code name of “Freezer” (which had been given to him by the SFD on the false assumption that his power was to freeze water), advising them to instead call him “Transer”
